About Amalia Ancuta

A calm, welcoming and inclusive space
I am Amalia, a psychotherapist, registered with BACP and BPS.
I offer 1-to-1 and group sessions in a quiet, rural area in Lea, Preston.
My work combines a person-centred and compassionate approach with creative techniques and experiential group work.
I am committed to creating a calm, welcoming and inclusive space where you can be exactly who you are.
Whether you are looking for short-term support to get through a specific challenge or long-term work to understand yourself more deeply, I would be honoured to support you on that journey.
My approach
My approach is rooted in the person-centred tradition, which simply means I trust you as the expert on your own life. I am here to walk alongside you, offering a steady, compassionate presence while you navigate whatever is weighing on your mind.
It also means I am here to provide a non-judgmental space where you can be exactly who you are.
I believe that when you are truly heard and accepted, you naturally find the path to healing and growth.
The Power of Creativity
While our sessions are rooted in conversation, I also offer creative techniques for moments when words don’t feel enough.
If you’re feeling stuck or unable to articulate exactly what is wrong, we can use simple, guided creative tools to externalise those feelings.
Whether it is exploring your emotions through imagery, metaphors or gentle expressive techniques, these methods are designed to help you find clarity where it feels clouded. They are open, pressure-free and always tailored to what you feel comfortable with.
